A seabed viewed from above, where the blue of the water covers almost the entire surface, with a few stretches of coastline emerging at the edges. A hot-air balloon, suspended at the top, introduces an unexpected element into the vastness of the landscape, whilst small boats guide the eye along the left-hand edge. The various shades of light blue and blue define depth and movement, alternating with lighter areas reminiscent of reflections on the sea’s surface. The composition emphasises the sense of space, with a few details that stand out precisely because of their isolation.
