Je Shen, one of the greatest talents in contemporary Asian art. An artist who, through skilful use of the most refined and effective painting techniques, wants to play with the audience, creating a powerful magnetism made up of lights, optical illusions and refined brushstrokes. Magical floral atmospheres, where colour and three-dimensionality become constant features that accompany the viewer on a journey of visions and emotions. The Chinese, Japanese and Korean specialised press is focusing its interest on this artist, now considered one of the most interesting contemporary artists of recent years.
Biography
Je Shen was born in Jiangxi (China) in 1973. After graduating from the Guangzhou School of Fine Arts, in 1993 he attended the Beijing Academy of Fine Arts, where he graduated with honours in 1998. From the outset, Je Shen demonstrated his talent, technique and desire to create a new artistic language, combining Eastern tradition with the teachings of 20th-century European and American masters. This blend of genres, influences and inspirations led to an intense exhibition schedule, which reached its first major milestone in 2008 when a permanent exhibition was dedicated to him at the Guangzhou Museum. In recent years, he has participated in more than 90 group and solo exhibitions around the world. He exhibits in the most interesting galleries in Beijing, New York and Singapore. He has won numerous awards for his unique technique and has been featured in art magazines such as Art Asia Pacific, Kolaj and Asia Art Archive. An artist with a future already written.
