09_Meditation 1115

In this painting by Je Shen, a solitary figure walks through a landscape dominated by a large tree with a golden canopy. The intense light in the background creates a sharp contrast with the deep shades of blue and green, whilst the dense pattern of orange, yellow and white dots lends the surface a luminous effect. The small figure, sheltered by an umbrella, introduces an intimate and narrative dimension, transforming the landscape into a moment of silent contemplation.
