10_Meditation 1156

In this composition, a small, solitary boat glides across a calm expanse of water, whilst above it stretches a large, suspended form, composed of thousands of dots in shades of blue, green and pink. The pictorial mass seems to float in the air, creating an evocative dialogue between sky and water. The figure on board accentuates the sense of silence and contemplation, transforming the journey into an almost dreamlike experience. Je Shen’s pointillist technique thus constructs a rarefied landscape, where light and colour dissolve into space, creating a poetic atmosphere.
