Casetti explores the duality between the visible and invisible in this work, where the face portrayed in profile is enveloped in a cascade of contrasting colors. Sienna and red predominate, with turpentine-based glazes creating glossy, thick textures, while pink and yellow, thanks to water-based glazes, are softer and more translucent. This visual contrast of textures and colors accentuates the idea of a continuous flow of emotions and thoughts, with the central figure seeming to emerge from a stream of energy and reflections.
