‘The Oracle of the Air’ expresses movement and lightness through an explosion of colours and textures. The face of the figure, immersed in a sea of colours in warm and cold tones, merges with the drops of enamel expanding in the air. The dripping of water-based enamels and turpentine creates an interplay of surfaces that alternate brightness and opacity, generating a sensation of suspension, as if the figure were about to levitate. The shiny drops of turpentine-based enamel accentuate the levitation effect, while the soft water-based stains suggest the fluidity and impermanence of thought.
