In Humana – Vide Adhuc, Lamberto Melina continues his exploration of the female figure as a bearer of mystery and truth. The woman portrayed—with a wrapped turban and sidelong gaze—holds a small golden apple from which a spark emerges. The painting evokes an allegory of knowledge and desire, but also the risk that comes with every form of discovery. The luminous realism of the skin and fabrics merges with an iconography suspended between myth and modernity.
