Alessandro Casetti plays with abstraction in this composition, where the figure emerges from a pattern of coloured enamel drops. The face, delicately rendered in shades of pink and cream, is surrounded by patches of water-based enamel, in a dynamic play of soft and opaque surfaces that evoke the fluidity of thoughts. The drops of turpentine-based enamel, shinier and denser, contrast with the others, forming visually more substantial and slippery stains. The result is a composition that seems to be a perfect balance between the artist's control and the spontaneity of the drops, creating a feeling of tension between order and chaos.
