This composition stands out for its expressiveness and meditative atmosphere. The face, barely outlined and shaded in light shades of beige and white, is surrounded by a cascade of brighter colours, which explode in a play of textures rendered by water- and turpentine-based glazes. Coloured water droplets, such as cobalt blue and red, create a visual dynamic that contrasts with the softness of the shades on the face. The use of water-based enamels gives the surrounding areas a more translucent and light appearance, while turpentine drops create areas of greater depth and shine, generating an impression of calmness that alternates with the strength of the colours in motion.
