In “Bagnanti”, Paolo da San Lorenzo depicts a choral dance of female bodies, broken down and reassembled in a continuous rhythm. The figures intertwine in an almost musical movement, crossed by scratched marks and chromatic planes of blue, black and flesh tones, with accents of red punctuating the composition. The painting is energetic, direct, full of vitality: a hymn to the body, to gesture and to the freedom of the mark.
