In ‘Finestra sul porto’ , Paolo da San Lorenzo constructs an abstract space made up of signs, arches and overlapping chromatic planes. Greens and blues dominate the surface, crossed by curved and vertical lines in yellow, orange and red that mark the rhythm of the composition. The pictorial material is alive, scratched, layered, and transforms the landscape into a mental structure rather than a descriptive one. A vision suspended between geometric order and gestural freedom, where the harbour becomes an idea, a sign, a movement.
