Aisling, which means ‘vision’ or ‘dream’ in Gaelic, is a powerful and poignant visual metaphor for the delicacy of childhood. The child clutches a daisy, a symbol of purity and hope, while the three-dimensional background amplifies the feeling of isolation and protection. Marica Fasoli skilfully mixes hyperrealist painting and sculptural installation, blending mixed media and wood to give body and depth to an image suspended between poetry and social reflection.
