In Sling Back, the artist places the detail of the footwear at the centre of the composition, transforming it into an exploration of form and colour. The bright orange-red of the sock dominates the scene and contrasts with the deep black of the shoe, whilst the brown and pearl-grey inserts define its details. The slender silhouette and the precision of the textile elements create a dynamic and sophisticated image, suspended between fashion and art.
