Clorinda is a gaze that cannot be forgotten. Born from the unmistakable visual poetics of Gian Piero Gasparini, this female figure stands out on a living canvas, traversed by a weave of pictorial tesserae reminiscent of a digital mosaic, at once ancient and ultra-modern. The face, delicate and proud, is dissected by circles of colour - red, turquoise, violet - that do not cover, but reveal, like lenses of emotional awareness. Here, the artist applies his characteristic mixed technique on treated canvas: a shattered surface, immersed in warm pigments, then decoloured and reconstructed in a parcelled vision reminiscent of analogue pixel art and pictorial pointillism. The result is a unique, living, almost organic texture, where each cell tells a fragment of being. In Clorinda, Gasparini explores female identity as an inner architecture and mirror of time.
