16_Untitled 784

Alessandro Casetti continually pushes the boundaries with this female portrait in profile, in which the delicacy of the features contrasts with an extraordinary vibrancy of colour. An abstract composition emerges from the face and expands outwards, almost like a trail of energy in motion. Electric blues, vivid reds and luminous yellows blend with softer shades in unpredictable overlays. The white of the canvas amplifies the sense of lightness, bringing the image to life.
