Alessandro Casetti depicts a female figure with an oriental elegance, draped in a black kimono embellished with golden trimmings. Her sophisticated face, delicate and almost ethereal, retains an enigmatic expression, whilst an elaborate composition of abstract forms unfolds above her head. Bright pink, lime green, yellow and deep blue alternate with refined golden details, evoking a fantastical headdress, suspended between tradition and imagination. The rigour of the garment thus meets the freedom of the painterly gesture, giving life to a portrait in which grace and audacity coexist in perfect balance.
