12_Untitled 740

Alessandro Casetti allows colour and texture to tell the story of the female figure. The face, barely touched by pastel shades, emerges delicately from a composition dominated by deep blues, light blues and sudden accents of red and yellow. The drips give rise to an interweaving of colours that emerges above the head in its most abstract form. The shades create an interesting interplay of solid and void. The result is an ethereal and luminous portrait, in which the lightness of the figure coexists with the expressive power of the painting.
